hi! I’m willow

PREACHER | AUTHOR | PODCAST HOST

I love telling stories and inviting others to share theirs. I’m all about people, all the time. Facts and figures bore me, but life stories, that’s where the good stuff’s at. I am a spelling bee champ but will lose miserably in trivial pursuit. I am a foodie with no apologies. I love a good massage and a walk on the beach. I can throw a mean party and I’m a criminal at the local library. I have a hippie name and I once lived on a school bus as a kid. I frequent coffee shops more than I’d like to admit and sit across from hurting people in the hopes they will find help for their pain. I have a mad love for pretty things.

I use china on Wednesdays and I love making the ordinary feel extraordinary. I battle insecurity and old wounds everyday, just like you probably do too. I love to belly laugh and feel like I will be an eternal 7th grader no matter how old I get. I am up for pranks, games, and shenanigans on the daily.

I have been married for twenty years and my husband, Rob, is the epitome of grace. I get schooled by my two kids, Aidan and Bella on the regular. They teach me more about God and life and love than I could ever teach them.

I collided with Jesus in college and He became my Direction, Healer, Hope, and Rescuer. Jesus met me in my brokenness and has used me there too. I am a preacher, blogger, author, podcast host, and the Founder and Director of a women’s ministry called Collide.

I remember practicing Martin Luther King speeches with passion as a kid. I was moved by the idea that one person’s voice could proclaim change for people. I’m a firm believer that there is no greater opportunity, nor greater challenge, than to use my voice to proclaim Jesus’ power. My hope is that God will use my life to change our world. It has now become my greatest desire and calling to invite others to collide with Jesus, because when we do, our lives will never be the same.

So I invite you to come alongside me in your story of beauty and brokenness to walk alongside me in mine. Let’s collide.

a story of beauty in brokenness

When Willow was in college she unexpectedly had a collision with Jesus that changed her life forever. He became her Healer, her Hope, and her Rescuer. Jesus not only met her in her brokenness but has used her there to help others. She has gotten the great privilege to speak to churches, camps, women’s ministries, youth ministries, business and non-profit leaders for decades. God uses her in powerful ways to impact all the audiences she speaks to.

She grew up under the wings of an activist and remembers practicing Martin Luther King speeches with passion as a kid. She was moved by the idea that one person’s voice could proclaim change for people. She’s a firm believer that there is no greater opportunity, nor greater challenge than to use her voice to proclaim Jesus’ power. Her hope is that God would use her life to change our world. It has now become her greatest desire and calling to invite others to collide with Jesus because when we do, our lives will never be the same.
